Colorado’s 2021 Legislative Session gaveled in at 10 o’clock this morning. I was officially sworn in to represent the people of Colorado House District 13. Working inside the Capitol for the first time, I am more aware than ever of the awesome responsibility and privilege of serving the people of Colorado. Thank you to my campaign team, and all of the volunteers, donors, and thought leaders who helped us get here.
In today’s session (which is ongoing now), Representatives were sworn in and the House elected Representative Alec Garnett as Speaker, with my strong support. The plan for the session is to consider critical business over the next three days and then, due to the pandemic, “gavel out” until February 16, when we will reconvene to carry out the rest of our 120-day term. I’ll keep you updated. You can watch the session live via the Colorado Channel.
I hope you can join Senator Tammy Story, Senator Bob Rankin, and me as we host January Town Hall meetings in Gilpin, Grand, Jackson and Clear Creek Counties. To learn more and register for any of these events, visit my website.
