Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser Endorses
Judy Amabile for Colorado House District 13

October 28, 2019 --  Momentum for Judy Amabile continues to build as the campaign announces an endorsement by Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser.

Weiser, who was Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Obama Department of Justice, released this statement:

“Judy Amabile has the experience, intellect, compassion, and values we need in the Colorado House of Representatives. She has been a fierce advocate for Coloradans on major priorities including protecting our environment, expanding mental health services, and supporting working families. We need her leadership in our legislature. I'm proud to support Judy for Colorado House District 13!”

Weiser’s endorsement capped a big month for Amabile’s campaign, which saw outstanding fundraising achievements. She has raised the most money of any non-incumbent House candidate this year. Additionally, Amabile welcomed endorsements by notable community leaders such as Boulder District Attorney Michael Dougherty, CU Regent Lesley Smith, and former Colorado Senate Majority Leader Rollie Heath, among others.

Amabile is running for KC Becker’s term-limited seat in the Colorado Legislature, House District 13. She is a lifelong Democrat with strong progressive values, and has an impressive track record in both business and community activism. Amabile co-founded Polar Bottle, where she demonstrated her commitment to local manufacturing and workplace fairness, including paid family leave and fair pay. She established Good Business Colorado to further these ideals in our community, and promote good environmental practices. In addition to advocating for economic opportunity, Amabile is passionately committed to bold climate action and improving mental health resources. More about Judy Amabile.
